Gently rolling hills, river valleys, and forest land characterize Randolph County's 790 square miles. It is the 11th largest county in North Carolina and has the 19th highest population in the state. A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for much of Central North Carolina beginning Sunday, 12/9/2018. A developing winter storm will spread wintry precipitation across central NC late Saturday night, with accumulating snow, sleet, and freezing rain likely continuing into Monday.
