How to Help
We always need volunteers! Running the shelter takes constant effort, and that doesn’t leave us much time to spend with our pups and kitties. Even if you can’t bring a pet home with you, all of our animals will benefit from extra love and attention.
Our volunteers wash dogs, take them for walks, play with kitties, and give us major insight into our animal’s personalities. We have a much better chance of finding a great home for our adoptable pets when we know as much about them as possible. The best way to do that is through active volunteers, so call us today to find out when you can get started!
We love to place our pets with rescues! Are you a registered 501(c)(3) rescue organization? Are you looking for a few good dogs or cats? Send us an email and we’ll be happy to get in touch with you if your specific breed or type of animal comes through the shelter. In the past, we’ve placed everything from Chihuahuas to Mastiffs, and Burmese to Siamese.
Randolph County Animal Shelter is county-run and not for profit. Our budget allows for basic care and feeding, but doesn’t always have much room for the extras that our adoptable animals sometimes need. Your donation goes into a fund that pays for veterinary care, grooming, and other special requests from our feline and canine guests. If you’d like to help, you may send a check made out to:
