On October 13, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to an agency assistant with North Carolina Highway Patrol at the intersection of Hwy 421 and Old Liberty Rd. Liberty. Upon arrival, the Trooper advised he had conducted a traffic stop on Shana Monique McQueen. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, marijuana and a bag of white pills were located.
Deputies discovered McQueen had two outstanding warrants for her arrest. McQueen was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of Schedule 1 Controlled Substance and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. She was also served the outstanding warrants. McQueen was issued a $5,000 total secured bond for her charges. A first appearance was set for October 17, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
