On October 4, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff's Office responded to Alamo Court, Trinity, in reference to a larceny that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was reported that Wilson Matthew Rodgers and Shannon Jean Snider had stolen and pawned items belonging to the victim.
On October 5, 2023, deputies were able to recover the stolen items. Each pawn store wished to pursue charges against Rodgers or Snider based on who had pawned the items. During the investigation, it was discovered that many of the items had been pawned several times since February.
On October 10, 2023, charges were sought against both subjects and the magistrate found probable cause for five counts of felony obtain property by false pretense and one count of felony larceny against Rodgers and issued a warrant. Probable cause was found for a charge of felony obtain property by false pretense against Snider and a warrant issued.
On October 23, 2023, the Criminal Apprehension Team located and arrested Wilson Rodgers and Shannon Snider and transported them to the Randolph County Detention Center where they were served their outstanding warrants. Snider was issued a written promise with a court date of October 24, 2023. Rodgers was issued a secured bond of $11,500 with a court date of October 30, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
