On January 1, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Stonehenge Place., Thomasville, regarding a 911 call with screaming in the background.  They were unable to get an answer upon return calls.  Upon arrival, deputies were unable to get anyone to respond to the door of the residence and had no visual that anyone was there.

Less than an hour later, Communications received a call from the Stoneside Circle area about an unknown female, who appeared to have been assaulted, being at their door seeking assistance.  Upon arrival, deputies observed the victim’s injuries and EMS responded to evaluate.

During the investigation, it was determined that Andralius Fazant Culbreth had forcibly entered the victim’s residence and assaulted her.  The victim was able to call 911, but when the dispatcher answered the phone, Culbreth took the phone from her. The victim advised she was restrained when law enforcement initially responded.  The victim further reported that after law enforcement left her residence, she was able to get away from Culbreth and exit the residence, but he caught her and again assaulted her.  Once he left, she was able to run to the nearest residence and asked them to call 911.

Other deputies responded to Stonehenge Place in an attempt to locate Culbreth.  The victim’s vehicle, Culbreth and the juvenile children were gone.   Area agencies were alerted to be on the lookout for the vehicle and Culbreth.

Charges were sought against Culbreth for felony break and enter with intent to terrorize, felony assault inflicting serious injury, felony larceny of motor vehicle, felony possession of stolen vehicle, misdemeanor assault on a female, two counts of felony second-degree kidnapping, felonious restraint, felony larceny from the person, misdemeanor interfere with 911, two counts of misdemeanor assault in the presence of a minor and the magistrate found probable cause to issue the warrant.

Later in the morning, Thomasville Police Department advised they had located Culbreth at his residence with the vehicle and children.  Deputies responded to take custody of Culbreth and recovered the vehicle and children.

Culbreth was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served the outstanding warrant.  Bond was denied and a first appearance was set for January 2, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
