On February 27, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Carl Allred Rd., Franklinville, in reference to a reported fraud complaint. Upon arrival, the victim provided information related to the complaint. During the investigation, it was determined that Kimberly Michelle Brown was the suspect in the incident.
Deputies located Brown at her residence. Randolph Communications confirmed Brown had an unserved Order for Arrest, two unserved Warrants for Arrest, and was a Wanted Person for Parole Violation and was placed under arrest. During a subsequent search, evidence was located relative to the fraud complaint. She was transported to Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for charges of Felony Obtain Property by False Pretense and Felony Identity Theft. She was also served her outstanding processes. The magistrate issued a $45,000 total secured bond. A first appearance was set for February 28, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
Brown was also served by Probation at the Detention Center with a no bond Parole Violation hearing order.
