On April 2, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on I74 near Cedar Square Rd. exit in Archdale. Upon approach, the driver, identified as Donald Ray Ferguson, advised that his license had been suspended.
During a subsequent search, cocaine and paraphernalia were located in his possession; therefore, he was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for charges of felony possession of cocaine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and Driving While License Revoked. Due to him currently being out on bond, he received no bond in this incident. A first appearance was set for April 3, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
