The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Registry Detective received information that registered sex offender Carlos Dominguez Moreno was present on a school campus on May 1, 2024, which is a violation. Charges were sought against Moreno for felony sex offender on child premises and the magistrate found probable cause to issue the warrant for arrest.
On May 2, 2024, Moreno was located by the Criminal Apprehension Team, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served the warrant. He was also served outstanding orders for arrest for a felony probation violation and a misdemeanor probation violation. He was issued a $30,000 total secured bond and a first appearance was set for May 3, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
