On May 8, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Muddy Creek Rd., Archdale, in reference to a suspicious person in the area. Upon arrival, deputies located Mauricio Lopez Ramos walking along the roadway. During the investigation, Communications advised that Ramos had an outstanding order for arrest out of Davidson County for felony probation violation. He was placed under arrest. During the search to arrest, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located.
Ramos was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia and he was issued a written promise to appear on June 3, 2024, in Randolph County District Court for these charges. He was also served the outstanding process and issued a $5,000 secured bond with a court date of May 10, 2024, in Davidson County District Court on the probation violation.
