On June 15, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible sex offense upon a minor. Following an investigation of the allegations, Criminal Investigation Detectives sought charges against Timothy Eugene Lingo for felony indecent liberties with a child.
On July 17, 2024, Lingo was apprehended by the Criminal Apprehension Team on Blair Dr. in Hillsborough NC. He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served his warrant. The magistrate issued a $25,000 secured bond and set the next court date for July 19, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
