On September 9, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Highway Interdiction Team attempted to conduct a traffic stop for minor violations on I-85 in Randolph County, when a vehicle pursuit ensued. The pursuit led into Davidson County, where the driver continued to drive erratically, striking another vehicle in its path. The vehicle came to a stop and the passenger of the vehicle exited and fled on foot. After a short foot chase, the passenger was apprehended. The vehicle attempted to flee the scene and after a short time, Davidson County deputies had placed the driver under arrest. A subsequent search of the vehicle was conducted, and marijuana was located. After further investigation, it was discovered that the passenger of the vehicle, James Alvin Bradley, was wanted out of New Jersey for escape from the New Jersey Department of Corrections.
Olrick Omar Robinson, the driver of the vehicle, was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of Felony Flee/Elude Arrest w/ Motor Vehicle, Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana, Driving While License Revoked, Speeding in Excess of 65 MPH and Improper Passing on Right. He received a $10,000 secured bond with a first appearance set for September 16, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
James Alvin Bradley was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he received no bond, awaiting extradition, on the Fugitive Order with a court date scheduled for September 10, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
