On September 11, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Vice Narcotics Enforcement Team conducted a traffic stop for minor violations on NC Hwy 49 South in Asheboro. During the stop, a search of the vehicle was conducted and detectives located and seized Methamphetamine, Marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and US Currency. The driver of the vehicle, Javin Samuel Harris, was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana up to ½ oz., misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia. The magistrate issued a $5,000 secured bond with a first appearance set for September 16, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
