On September 25, 2024, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Sunset View Dr., Archdale, in reference to a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, deputies located a male identified as Travis Eugene Haynes. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located. He was arrested and transported to Randolph County Detention Center. During the booking process, additional methamphetamine was located. The magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of a controlled substance on jail premises, felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor domestic criminal trespassing, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. No bond was issued due to the charges being domestic in nature and a first appearance was set for September 25, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
