On September 26, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Electronic House Arrest (EHA) Officers were made aware that William Henry Jones, II, had several unserved orders for arrest for failure to appear on pending charges. Officers located Jones at his residence. During a subsequent search, a rifle, ammunition, marijuana, and paraphernalia were located and seized. Jones was arrested and taken to the Day Reporting Center for a drug screen following the compliance check where he tested positive for cocaine, which is also a violation of his house arrest. While at the screening, cocaine was located in his possession. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of a firearm by a felon and felony possession of cocaine and the magistrate issued no bond. He was also served his three orders for arrest and received a $250,000 secured bond. Additionally, Jones was given a $100,000 secured bond with EHA on his EHA violation. A first appearance was set for September 27, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
