On October 3, 2024, while investigating the possible location of Rocky Lee Brooks, a wanted subject, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office went to a residence on NC Hwy 134, Asheboro. Brooks had multiple Orders For Arrest out of Guilford County and Randolph County for Felonies and Misdemeanor charges. Upon arrival, deputies located Brooks and placed him under arrest.
Deputies also located a female, identified as Tina Kaye Westmoreland, attempting to conceal an unknown item which was later determined to be methamphetamine and paraphernalia. She was placed under arrest.
Both were transported to the Randolph County Detention Center. The magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia against Westmoreland. She was issued a written promise to appear in Randolph County District Court on October 21, 2024.
Brooks was served his outstanding processes and was given a $7,000 total secured bond.
