On November 3, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff's Office responded to Walker St., Seagrove, in reference to a structure fire at the request of the Fire Marshal's Office. Upon arrival, information was collected and a joint investigation began.
Following the investigation, Criminal Investigations Detectives sought charges against Emory Rose Dennis for felony burning certain buildings.
On November 4, 2024, Dennis was located, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where she was served her warrant. A bond was not authorized and a first appearance was set for November 5, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
