On March 7, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on E. Dixie Dr., Asheboro. Deputies developed probable cause to search the vehicle and during a subsequent search, marijuana was located.
It was later discovered that the driver had provided a false name/identification to the deputy. A warrant for arrest was issued for Jeresha Carol-Teyiona Rhodes for felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver Schedule VI controlled substance, felony possession of Schedule VI controlled substance, felony maintain vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance, and identity theft.
On November 20, 2024, Rhodes was located in Rowan County, arrested, and transported to the Rowan County Detention Center where she was served her warrant and received a $10,000 secured bond. A court date has been set for December 11, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
