On February 6, 2025, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Bethel Dr. Ext., High Point.
During a subsequent search, illegal narcotics and paraphernalia were located. The driver, identified as Jeremy Lee Jones was arrested. During the transport to the Randolph County Detention Center, Jones advised he had ingested narcotics. Jones was transported to Randolph Health for evaluation. Once he was medically cleared and discharged, he was transported to the Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance, Felony Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for controlled substance and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The magistrate issued no bond and a first appearance was set for February 7, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
