On March 12, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Team Urban Unit conducted a traffic stop on W. Main St. and Academy St. in Franklinville. During the stop, a search was conducted and detectives located and seized methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
The passenger of the vehicle, Travis Lawrence Thomas, was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also served with an order for arrest for felony probation violation. He was issued a $6,500 total secured bond with a first appearance set for March 13, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
