On March 18, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to NC Hwy 62, Trinity, in reference to an assault by an unknown suspect. During the investigation, deputies collected statements and retrieved security footage of the incident.
Upon leaving the location of the reported incident, deputies located a vehicle on Rockford Drive in Trinity, matching the description given. Deputies located the driver, who was identified as Kamel Dante Marshall.
Following the investigation, charges were sought on March 24, 2024, against Marshall for felony assault inflicting serious bodily injury and the magistrate issued a warrant for arrest.
On April 2, 2025, the Criminal Apprehension Team located Marshall, arrested, and transported him to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served his outstanding warrant. The magistrate issued an unsecured bond of $10,000 and set a court date for April 23, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
