On May 6, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the area of Mack Lineberry Rd., Franklinville. The driver was identified as Angela Dawn Hodge and identified the passenger as Clyde Dylan Toomes. During a subsequent search, illegal substances were located. Both were arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center. During the booking process, detention staff located methamphetamine in the possession of Toomes. The magistrate found probable cause for charges, as follows:
Hodge: felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana up to ½ oz, misdemeanor fictitious/altered title/registration card/tag, misdemeanor no libility insurance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor driving while license revoked. She was issued no bond and a first appearance was set for May 7, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
Toomes: felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver, felony possession methamphetamine, felony possession of a controlled substance on jail premises, two counts felony trafficking methamphetamine or heroin, and two counts misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a $15,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for May 7, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
