On May 8, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding allegations of sexual offenses involving a minor. Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division, charges were sought against Harold Wayne Lewis for four counts of felony sexual exploitation of minor/second-degree, and the magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant for arrest.
On May 9, 2025, Lewis was located, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was served the warrant and given a $150,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for May 12, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
He was also served an outstanding order for arrest out of Chatham County for failure to appear on a misdemeanor.
