On October 3, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Dixon St., Ramseur, in reference to the theft of a vehicle. Upon arrival, the victim provided evidence for the investigation.
Following the investigation, charges were sought against Jody Ryan Cox for felony larceny of a motor vehicle, and the magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant for arrest.
On October 6, 2025, Cox surrendered himself to deputies. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was served his warrant and issued a $10,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for October 6, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
