On August 10, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Hughes Grove Rd., Thomasville, regarding a burglary. Upon arrival, the victim was able to provide further information about some of the missing items.
Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division, charges were sought against Hobert Eugene Waller, III, for felony breaking and or entering, felony possession of stolen goods, and felony larceny of a motor vehicle. Charges were sought against Christopher Mitchell Dinkins for felony breaking and/or entering and felony larceny after break/enter.
On August 13, 2025, Waller was located, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was served his warrant and issued a $1,500 secured bond. A first appearance was scheduled for August 15, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
On August 27, 2025, Dinkins was located by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office in their jurisdiction. He was issued a $5,000 secured bond, and a first appearance was set for August 29, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
