On November 19, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to St. Peter Church Rd., Randleman, in reference to an unconscious person in a vehicle at the intersection. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the driver, later identified as Steven Eugene Weatherman, and woke him. While he was getting out of the vehicle, paraphernalia was observed.
During a subsequent search, heroin was located. Weatherman was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of heroin and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued no bond due to having pending charges. A first appearance was set for November 21, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
