On December 13, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Albemarle Rd. in reference to harassment. Upon arrival and locating the suspect, he provided a name that was later determined to be invalid.
Following the investigation, Maldonado was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony identity theft and misdemeanor resisting public officer. He was issued a $25,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for December 15, 2025, in Randolph County District Court.
