On May 12, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Cedar Square Rd., Archdale. Upon investigation, the driver was identified as Uriel Hernandez. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located. Upon testing one of the substances, it tested positive for methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, and Fentanyl. Hernandez was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was taken before the magistrate, who found probable cause for two counts of felony trafficking methamphetamine, felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance, felony maintain vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hernandez was also charged on citation for window tint, open container, and driving while license revoked for impaired driving. He was issued a $25,000 secured bond and set a first appearance was set for May 15, 2023, in Randolph County District Court
