On June 19, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Electronic House Arrest (EHA) Officers were made aware that Howard William Butcher had violated his conditions of EHA. On June 20, 2023, Deputies responded to Mr. Butcher’s residence and transported him to the Adult Day Reporting Center for an additional drug screening. They were advised that Butcher had tested positive for illegal substances. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the electronic house arrest violation. The magistrate placed him back under his original bond of $20,000. A court date was scheduled for July 3, 2023, in Randolph County Superior Court.
Butcher was put on EHA June 16, 2023, for felony possession of fentanyl, felony possession of ANPP and felony possession of Phenethyl 4- ANPP and driving while impaired.
