On June 29, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to a suspicious vehicle call in the area of Lassiter Mill Rd. and Whale Tail Rd., Asheboro. Upon arrival, the deputy located a black in color Honda passenger car just off the roadway. Upon approach, the driver of the vehicle was identified as Zachery Michael Cushman. During the investigation, Randolph Communications advised that the vehicle was entered as stolen out of Guilford County. The reporting agency and victim were notified the vehicle had been located. Cushman was placed under arrest and transported to Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle. He was given a $2,000 secured bond and a court date of June 30, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
