On July 11, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Old Mendenhall Rd., Archdale, in reference to a vehicle theft. The victim reported hearing the vehicle start, leave the driveway, got up to investigate and discovered it was in fact the car that was heard. The victim was able to identify the suspect as Jason Adam Granberry, who was known by the victim. The victim spoke with Granberry multiple times before calling 911 in an effort to have it retuned. The victim provided possible locations the subject may be. Communications contacted High Point Police Department for an agency assist to check an address. Shortly after, they located the vehicle and arrested Granberry. Custody of Granberry was transferred to Randolph County. He
was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony larceny of a motor vehicle. He was issued a $5,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for July 12, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
