On August 7, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Electronic House Arrest (EHA) Officers were made aware that Heather Dawn McDaniel had violated her conditions of EHA when she tested positive for illegal substances at the Adult Day Reporting Center. She was instructed to report to the EHA office. Deputies observed McDaniel in the driver’s seat of a vehicle arrive in the parking lot of the EHA office. Her driver’s license is revoked for DUI. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the felony electronic house arrest violation and driving while license revoked. The magistrate issued a $75,000 secured bond for the violation and a criminal summons for the driving while license revoked. A first appearance was scheduled for August 8, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
McDaniel was placed on EHA on May 17, 2023, for the DWI.
