On July 26, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle theft call for service on Alamo Drive in Trinity. Upon arrival, the victim provided information regarding the theft of a vehicle and other items by Justin Douglas Furr, who is known by the victim. The Deputy had the vehicle entered as stolen and then went before magistrate, who found probable cause for felony larceny of a motor vehicle, felony break or enter a motor vehicle, felony possession stolen motor vehicle, and misdemeanor larceny.
On August 18, 2023, Furr was located, arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served his outstanding warrant for this incident and an outstanding order for arrest for a probation violation. The magistrate issued a $100,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for August 21, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
