On April 11, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Courthouse Bailiff Division were preparing to escort inmate Isaiah Alford Spinks from the courthouse holding area to District Court. Spinks refused to exit his holding cell and became combative. When deputies attempted to restrain him, he assaulted a deputy. Spinks was physically restrained and taken into the courtroom for appearance. After his matters in court, he was transported back to the Detention Center, where the magistrate found probable cause for felony malicious conduct by a prisoner and misdemeanor resisting public officer. He was issued a $20,000 secure bond and a first appearance was set for April 18, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
