On October 12, 2023, a Randolph County Sheriff’s Deputy on patrol in the area of Unity St., Thomasville, initiated a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Kevin Nelson Faucette and issued a citation. During a subsequent search with the assistance of Thomasville Police Department, cocaine, heroin, and paraphernalia were located.
Faucette was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of heroin, felony possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, felony maintain a dwelling, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Faucette did not receive a bond due to already being on a pre-trial release from previous narcotics charges and violating those release conditions. A first appearance was set for October 13, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
