On November 17, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to N. Broad St., Seagrove, in reference to an alarm that was triggered at the business. Upon arrival, during the business check, deputies located an open door but were unable to locate anyone inside. While checking the perimeter, deputies located a green shopping cart full of merchandise. Personnel arrived to pull surveillance video and the male who had entered the business was identified as Brad Anthony Christian.
Charges were sought on Christian for felony breaking and entering and felony larceny after break/enter and the magistrate found probable cause and issued the warrants.
On December 11, 2023, deputies located Christian and he initially resisted arrest but was quickly apprehended and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for misdemeanor resisting a public officer. He was served three outstanding warrants and a magistrate’s order. Bond was denied on these charges.
He was also served outstanding orders for arrest for failure to appear on felony larceny of motor vehicle parts, misdemeanor larceny, misdemeanor possession of stolen goods/property, and misdemeanor injury to personal property. He received a $5,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for December 12, 2023, in Randolph County District Court.
