On December 23, 2023, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Magistrate’s office on S. Fayetteville St., Asheboro, regarding a felony assault that had previously occurred. Upon arrival, the victim provided information about the assault and medical records. Following the investigation, charges were sought against Robert Frederick Lee for felony assault inflicting serious bodily injury, and misdemeanor assault on a Female.
On December 28, 2023, Lee was located in the Asheboro Police Department jurisdiction. He was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served his outstanding warrant. Bond was denied and a first appearance was set for January 2, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
