On April 21, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on Hoover Hill Rd., Trinity. After the vehicle pulled into a driveway, circled the home at that address and drove through the yard, the driver jumped from the vehicle and fled on foot. A foot pursuit ensued and the driver, identified as Brett Andrew Anthony Link, was quickly apprehended. Randolph Communications advised that Link had outstanding orders for arrest. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony possession of methamphetamines, misdemeanor injury to real property, misdemeanor resist/delay/obstruct, driving while license revoked, fictitious tag, and rear lamp violation. He was also served his outstanding processes. He was issued a total bond of $28,000 secured and a first appearance was set for April 22, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
