[ARCHIVED] US 311 Armed Robbery Suspects Arrested

On April 1, 2022, Detectives with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office sought warrants on three subjects in the armed robbery that occurred at the Biz Center located at 8843 US Hwy 311 in Archdale, on March 25, 2022, at approximately 6:28 am.  The magistrate found probable cause and issued warrants against Cortez Dyshawn Monk, 34, of High Point; Johnmaine Lamont Rogers, 18, of High Point; and a 17-year-old juvenile of High Point, as follows: 

  • Cortez Dyshawn Monk was charged with felony conspire to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, three counts of felony robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony possession of a firearm by felon, felony larceny of a firearm and felony possession of a stolen firearm.   
  • Johnmaine Lamont Rogers was charged with felony conspire to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and three counts of felony robbery with a dangerous weapon. 
  • The 17-year-old juvenile was charged with felony conspire to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and three counts of felony robbery with a dangerous weapon. 

On April 4, 2022, the 17-year-old juvenile was located in High Point, arrested and transported to Guilford County Juvenile Detention Center.  

On April 13, 2022, Monk was located by High Point Police Department in their jurisdiction.  He was arrested and transported to the Guilford County Detention Center where he was served the warrants associated with this incident. Monk was denied bond by the magistrate.  He was transferred to Randolph County and a court date was set for April 20, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.    

On April 24, 2022, Rogers turned himself in to High Point Police Department where he was transported to the Guilford County Detention Center and served the outstanding warrants.  He was issued a $75,000 secured bond and a court date was set for June 6, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.

On March 25, 2022, at approximately 6:28 am, an armed robbery occurred at the Biz Center located at 8843 US Hwy 311 in Archdale.

 

Surveillance video shows one black male enter the business at 6:28 am wearing black pants, tennis shoes, black jacket with lettering/images all over it, a cloth mask, and has short dreads.  Shortly after, two additional black males entered through the front door and walked to the far back corner of the business. The initial suspect then robbed a customer of the business of money and a cell phone. At that time, the two other suspects pointed a gun to an employee demanding cash and other items.  A few seconds later, all three males entered the office, two of which were holding guns and pointing them at the employee, forcing him back into the gaming area to remove all additional cash from the machines. The suspects left through the front door and headed in an unknown direction of travel carrying all the stolen items.

 

  • Suspect one is described as 5'10''-6'2'' inches tall, black male tennis shoes, black pants, black jacket with letters/images on it, has short dreads and wearing a cloth mask. 

 

  • Suspect two is described as 5'10''-6'2'' inches tall, black male wearing shoes, black pants, a red and black checkered flannel shirt with a hood, wearing a cloth mask. 

 

  • Suspect Three is described as 5'10''-6'2'' inches tall, black male wearing black hooded sweatshirt with the hood on his head, wearing a cloth mask.
