On April 23, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office attempted a traffic stop on Roseway Rd., Trinity, but the vehicle failed to heed the emergency lights and siren and a pursuit ensued. While on Beeson Farm Rd., the motorcycle developed mechanical issues and the bike began to slow. The operator jumped from the motorcycle and proceeded to flee on foot. Deputies pursued the male, identified as Michael Richard English, who was quickly apprehended. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located. English was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for felony flee to elude arrest, felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, no registration plate, no motorcycle endorsement, resisting public officer, failure to stop for a posted stop sign, failure to maintain lane control, and driving left to center. English was given a $50,000 secured bond plus Electronic House Arrest (EHA) upon meeting bond conditions. His first court date is April 25, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
