On April 24, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Andrew Hunter Rd., Franklinville, in reference to a breaking & entering in progress. The victim reported arriving at the residence to find a white male and female in the front yard carrying tools from inside of his house. When the subjects saw the homeowner, they dropped some of the items and ran into the woods. Deputies located the male, identified as Joshua Adam Spivey, and additional items from the home in the wooded area. They were unable to locate the female.
During the investigation, other items that had been removed from the house were located on the property.
Spivey was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for Felony Breaking & Entering and Felony Larceny. He was issued a $5,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for April 25, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
At this time, the female has not been identified.
