On February 21, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call regarding a breaking and entering of a residence and larceny of a vehicle in the Pleasant Ridge Church Rd. area of Ramseur. During the investigation, it was discovered that the vehicle had been sold for scrap. On February 29, 2024, while the Urban Interdiction Team was following up on this investigation, detectives received information of the location of possible suspects. Detectives, along with the Criminal Apprehension Team, located Angela Dawn Bowman and Nathaniel Flood, Jr. at a residence in Seagrove, where they were apprehended and transported to Randolph County Detention Center. Angela Bowman was served with an outstanding warrant for arrest for misdemeanor larceny and misdemeanor possession of stolen goods, an order for arrest for three counts of misdemeanor probation violation out of county, and resisting public officer. She was issued a $10,000 secured bond. She was also charged with felony possession schedule II controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia for items located at the time of her arrest. Her bond was denied on these charges. Nathaniel Flood was charged with resisting a public officer and misdemeanor assault on a government official and received a $3,000 secured bond.
On March 5, 2024, charges were sought on Angela Dawn Bowman and Nathaniel Flood, Jr for felony obtain property by false pretense, felony larceny of motor vehicle, felony safecracking, felony breaking and entering and felony larceny after break/enter. The magistrate found probable cause for the charges and issued warrants for their arrest. Bowman and Flood, currently confined in Randolph County Detention Center, were served their outstanding warrants where bond was denied due to the pre-trial integrity act. A first appearance is set for March 6, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
