On April 23, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to an abnormal behavior call in the US Hwy 64 W. area of Asheboro. Upon arrival, deputies located Faith Keeter Brickman inside the residence throwing items and being violent toward others on the scene. She immediately approached the deputy and began verbally and physically assaulting the deputy. Whe was secured in handcuffs to detain her during the investigation. Additional deputies responded to assist.
Following the investigation, Brickman was placed under arrest and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center. Upon arrival at the jail, Brickman refused to follow simple commands inside the jail and spit on two deputies while waiting for the magistrate. The magistrate found probable cause for two counts of felony malicious conduct by prisoner, felony assault inflicting serious injury on law enforcement, and one count of communicating threats. She was held in the Randolph County Detention Center with a $40,000 secured bond with house arrest as a condition of her release. A first appearance was set for April 24, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
