On April 28, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call regarding a suspicious vehicle in the area of Old US Hwy 64. Upon arrival, deputies located a truck occupied by Johnathen Hughes Pemberton. When deputies made contact with Pemberton and informed him of the vehicle being reported stolen, Pemberton attempted to flee on foot, but was apprehended and placed under arrest. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for charge of Felony Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle. He was issued a $7,500 secured bond and a first appearance set for April 29, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
