On April 19, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of a possible child abuse incident. Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division and the Department of Social Services, charges were sought against Ta’Juan Antonio Blackstock for felony child abuse and the magistrate found probable cause to issue a warrant.
On June 3, 2024, Blackstock was located, arrested, and transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where he was served the warrant and issued a $25,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for June 4, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
