On December 14, 2021, a victim came into the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office –Archdale location to report that he had loaned a mower to Larry Michael Burnette, Jr., to use and had asked for it to be returned multiple times. The victim stated that on December 11, 2021, friends were able to make contact with Burnette and he produced a pawn ticket where he had pawned the lawn mower at Thomasville Pawn & Jewelry. The victim then went to the pawn shop and attempted to get his property but was unable to. Following an investigation by Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, it was determined that Burnett had pawned the mower under fraudulent circumstances. Charges were sought with the magistrate for Felony Larceny and Felony Possession of Stolen Goods/Property.
On April 11, 2022, he was located by the High Point Police Department, arrested and served the outstanding warrant. He was issued a $3,500 unsecured bond and a first appearance was set for May 4, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
