This morning, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office was notified about a possible threat of school violence posted on social media concerning Southeastern Randolph Middle School.
Upon learning this information, Law Enforcement and the Randolph County Schools System began an immediate investigation. The source of the threat was quickly identified, and appropriate intervention was administered.
Additional law enforcement will be on campus for the remainder of the school day.
The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office encourages parents to converse with their children concerning school threats and improper use of social media.
It is the mission of the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office and the Randolph County Schools System to ensure the safety and well-being of all students and staff within Randolph County.
