On May 9, 2022, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office located Thomas Zachery Hall, who had outstanding warrants, on Scaleybark Ln., Asheboro. Upon approach, Hall fled on foot and a brief foot pursuit ensued. Additional deputies arrived and assisted in taking Hall into custody. During a subsequent search, methamphetamine was located. He was transported to the Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for charges of felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor assault on government official/employee, and misdemeanor resisting public officer. He was issued a $6,000 secured bond and a court date for these charges was set for May 16, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
He was also served his outstanding order for arrest for misdemeanor probation violation in which he received a $2,500 secure bond.
