The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Vice Narcotics Unit concluded an investigation related to the distribution of Methamphetamine in Randleman, NC. On May 10, 2022, Detectives, along with the assistance of the Criminal Interdiction Team, executed a search warrant at 4960 Cecil Norman Rd. in Randleman, the residence of Joseph Kenneth Newbold. During the investigation, Detectives located and seized approximately 315.5 grams of Heroin, approximately 4.6 pounds (2,101.1 grams) of Methamphetamine, approximately 74.8 grams of Cocaine, approximately 338 grams of Marijuana and approximately 10.3 grams of Mushrooms. US Currency and items of drug paraphernalia were also seized.
Joseph Kenneth Newbold was transported to Randolph County Detention Center where the magistrate found probable cause for the charges of Felony Trafficking in Heroin, Felony Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Felony Trafficking in Cocaine, Felony Possession With Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance, Felony Possession With Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Heroin, Felony Possession With Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Cocaine, Felony Possession With Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Schedule I Controlled Substance, Felony Possession With Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver Marijuana, Felony Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor Possess Marijuana Paraphernalia and Misdemeanor Possession Drug Paraphernalia. He received a $1,000,000 secured bond plus Electronic House Arrest with a court date scheduled for May 11, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
