On May 25, 2021, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Racine Rd. area of Randleman in reference to a welfare check and possible assault. Upon arrival, the victim had visible injuries and EMS was requested for the victim. The victim reported to have been assaulted by Bradley Scott Driver and confined in the suspect’s home for the past several days, but had managed to escape and seek help. After getting to the roadway a third party contacted Randolph County 911 to request a welfare check on the victim. Deputies went to the residence in an attempt to locate Driver. After clearing the residence, it was determined that Driver had left the area on foot; efforts to locate him were unfruitful at the time. The victim was transported to an area hospital for further evaluation.
After concluding the investigation, a deputy went before a magistrate who found probable cause for the following charges against Driver: Felony 1st Degree Kidnapping, Misdemeanor Assault on a Female, Misdemeanor Domestic Violence Protective Order Violation, Misdemeanor Interfere w/Emergency Communication, and Misdemeanor Assault with Deadly Weapon.
Driver was located on May 10, 2022, by Greensboro Police Department in their jurisdiction. He was arrested and transported to the Guilford County Detention Center where he was served the Warrants for Arrest. He was also served two Orders for Arrest for failure to appear on Domestic Violence Protective Order Violations and Resisting Public Officer. Due to charges being domestic in nature he was denied bond until his first appearance was held in Guilford County. A court date has been scheduled for June 13, 2022, in Randolph County District Court for the charges out of Randolph County.
