On September 5, 2024, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible sex offense upon a minor(s). Following an investigation of the allegations, Criminal Investigation Detectives sought charges against Corey Joe Cagle for ten counts of felony statutory sex offense with a child under 15 years of age.
On December 10, 2024, the Criminal Apprehension Team located Cagle, arrested him and transported him to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he was served the warrants. The magistrate issued a $100,000 secured bond and a first appearance was set for December 11, 2024, in Randolph County District Court.
